How do I dial mobiles vs landlines in Peru

Peru’s country calling code is +51. Peruvian mobile numbers are 9 digits and always start with 9 (formatted like 9XX XXX XXX), and thanks to Peru’s nationwide “mobile virtual area,” mobiles are treated as non-geographic—you don’t add a city code when calling a Peruvian mobile, even from abroad. For landlines, Peru uses geographic area codes: Lima & Callao use area code 1, while most other regions use 2-digit area codes. Peru also uses a trunk prefix 0 for domestic long-distance landline dialing (for example, calling a landline in another region is typically 0 + area code + local number).
