How do I dial mobiles vs landlines in Ireland

Ireland uses country code +353, area codes for landlines, trunk prefix 0 domestically, and international prefix 00 for calls placed from Ireland.

• From abroad → landlines: exit code → 353 → area code (drop the 0) → local number. Example (Dublin): +353 1 234 5678 (domestic 01).

• From abroad → mobiles: exit code → 353 → mobile number without the leading 0 (e.g., +353 87… / +353 86… / +353 85…).

• Inside Ireland: dial 0 + area code + number for landlines (e.g., 01/021/061/091…), and the 10-digit mobile number beginning with 0 (e.g., 087…).

• From Ireland to other countries: 00 + country code + number (or dial with + on mobiles).
