How do I dial mobiles vs landlines in Lebanon

Lebanon uses country code +961, an international prefix 00 (when calling from Lebanon to other countries), and a domestic trunk prefix 0 that you typically see written in front of area/mobile codes inside the country. Lebanese national numbers are 8 digits long in national format. When you call from abroad, dial your exit code (like 00 or 011), then 961, then the Lebanese number without the leading 0. For example, Beirut landlines written locally as 01 xxxxxx are dialed internationally as +961 1 xxxxxx.

For mobiles, Lebanon commonly prints numbers like 03 xxx xxx or 70/71/76/78/79/81 xxx xxx (still shown locally with a leading 0 sometimes). From outside Lebanon, you drop that domestic 0 and dial +961 3 xxx xxx (for 03 mobiles) or +961 70 xxx xxx, etc. Lebanon has two mobile networks—alfa (MIC1) and touch (MIC2)—and as of 2025 it’s not yet implementing mobile number portability, so prefixes are generally a reliable clue for the issuing network.
